Good Blood Fat Levels
Fat found within the body, called cholesterol, shows itself in different forms. When your LDL cholesterol or "bad" cholesterol is 100 or above, this shows that you will be at an increased risk of heart disease and could possibly require treatment. High levels of total cholesterol shows a greater risk of heart disease to be evident. However, HDL cholesterol or "good" cholesterol is a protection from heart disease. Therefore, the higher it is, the better. It is best to keep triglyceride (another type of fat) levels under 150. To prevent heart disease, these target numbers are important.
